Biocleaner in the sludge tank

Biocleaner tests at Vilkija wastewater treatment plant

The Biocleaner was delivered to the Vilkija wastewater treatment plant in early January 2016. During the months of January-February, Biocleaner micro-organisms started to breed in the tank. Then, in March, the excess sludge from other WWTPs started to be fed in. Since then, 20-30 m3 of excess sludge has been brought in every week and discharged into the Biocleaner tank.

According to the attached test report, the pollution indicators of the effluent discharged from the tank are in line with the standards for discharges to nature.

Since March, more than 1000 m3 of excess sludge has been poured into the tank, but no unpleasant odours have emanated from the tank.

The effluent samples were analysed in the laboratory of UAB Ekometrija, which operates in accordance with the international standard LST EN ISO/IEC 17025:2006.
