Biocleaner testing in a natural fur processing plant

The main activity of this company is the processing of natural fur. The effluent from the process has a BOD value of 1000-1500 mgO2/l.

The Biocleaner demonstration test started on 15 October 2015, when 900 l of production wastewater was poured into a container and the Biocleaner equipment was started. The initial BOD of the wastewater was 1100 mgO2/l.

After 13 days of continuous operation of the Biocleaner, the BOD dropped to 101 mgO2/l.

As can be seen from the test results, a BOD reduction of more than 90% was achieved within 13 days. The efficiency of the plant could be even higher, as in the pilot version the wastewater was treated only in aerobic media.

The effluent samples were analysed in the laboratory of UAB Ekometrija, which operates in accordance with the requirements of the international standard LST EN ISO/IEC 17025:2006.
